The Assignment
Your job is to create a commercial designed to inform Walnut Grove community members (and your classmates) about a local invasive species. Your commercial will be presented to the class and it can be either a video or a live presentation using PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Presentation, a webpage, or another format of your choice. Included in the presentation should be information about:
I have created a Google Doc for you to write your names and specify which invasive species you have chosen. Each group in your class must choose a different invasive species so please make sure you have not chosen the same species as another group in your block.

- Where the invasive species is originally from and where it is invading now
- Who introduced the invasive species and how it was brought over (method of transportation)
- What native species have they taken over
- Advantages and/or disadvantages of the invasive species
- Prevention and/or containment measures taken by the government, locals, and any other people; if the prevention measures are to introduce another species to the area, what could be a consequence of this action
- What you, as an individual in society, could do to raise awareness and/or prevent the invasive species from spreading
- Pictures
- Bibliography in APA format
